Keeping Christ Church Solvent
Thanks to all who, in the last 12 months have responded in some way to help balance the books. We have some new standing orders and some increased standing orders or planned giving envelopes. We still have a way to go! Yet to respond? It’s not too late. If 50 people give an extra £1 a week - that’s an extra £3,250 (with gift aid). That’s a start.
Please, speak to Wendy Holloway, Catherine Champney or Sue Peach about ways in which you can help.
Exploring Faith
The morning group will meet at 9.10am on 18th November. The evening group will meet at 8pm on 18th November. No meetings in December. The groups will continue in the new year. Do let Mtr Ariadne know if you are interested in joining.
Pantomime
Enid has booked seats for us at the Bob Hope Theatre, Eltham for Snow White and the 7 Dwarves on 12th January 2020 at 2pm. Tickets cost £13 for adults; £10 for children & concessions. Please, let Enid or Mtr Ariadne know if you would like to buy tickets. We went to the Bib Hope Theatre for the first time, last year. It is less professional than Greenwich Theatre, but it was really good for children – especially slightly younger ones.
Site Development
Good news! The Diocese have given us positive feedback about the proposals for our site. We expect the Diocese to give us formal approval soon. We are working with a very keen and pro-active architect/developer, who is anxious to start the project. We hope to be able to present more developed plans before too long.
Working Party
The next Working Party will be on Saturday 9th November between 8.45 and 11.30am. There will be lots of leave clearing to be done. Do, please, come and help. Bring a pair of gardening gloves. Children are welcome to come and help. Thank you!
