Our Church on the Hill
Welcome
Christ Church Shooters Hill is an Anglican (Church of England) Church in the modern Catholic tradition. We are a friendly congregation drawn largely from the local community and reflecting the rich diversity of this part of London. We aim to be an inclusive church welcoming everyone, whatever their age, background, sexuality or relationship status or whether they are trans or cis and regardless of how much or how little faith they may have. Honest doubters and people with questions are positively welcomed!
Our Vision
We believe that all people are created in the image of God, and that all are called by God into a loving, dynamic and transformative relationship with him, through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, his Son and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Mission
God is at the heart of all we do at Christ Church.
We aim to be a church of welcome and warmth. We are inclusive and welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures.
We aspire to be a presence within our locality, using the resources we have to enrich the life of people within the community.
We are a broad church and our different services reflect this.
We have a commitment to the local community, also beyond the parish into the borough and to the Church overseas.
Safeguarding
The parish of Christ Church Shooters Hill takes the safeguarding and care of children and vulnerable adults very seriously. Further information about this can be found at the Safeguarding section.
