Events

Come join us at the many events held at Christ Church Shooters Hill

Toddler Play Group (Wednesdays 9.10-11am)

Christ Church Toddler Playgroup is a lovely, warm and welcoming group, and is one of the ways in which we seek to serve our community. It's held in the church hall on Wednesday mornings from 9.10am.

We begin with tea/coffee, followed by play time, snack time and story time, where we read a Bible story together. We finish each session with nursery rhymes.

These stay and play sessions provide an opportunity for parents/carers and their children under 5 years of age to meet, engage with a selection of free play toys and activities, have refreshments and enjoy a song and rhyme time together.

Please bring your own healthy snack and drink. Suggested donation £1 per child. Term time only, starting second week back.

Confirmation Classes

Most of us were probably baptised as children and promises were made on our behalf by our parents and godparents. Hopefully, there'll come a time when we want to make those promises on our own behalf. That is what Confirmation is about: repeating those promises in front of the Bishop and then being confirmed by him. In this parish the minimum age for Confirmation is 14. If you are interested in being confirmed, please contact Mtr Ariadne. For adults, Confirmation classes are often combined with the Exploring Faith Course (see below).

Pilgrim Course

We have a group that studies books from the Pilgrim Course. We meet once a month on a Saturday morning at the vicarage. Please contact Mtr Ariadne if you'd like to join.

Social Events

We hold regular social events throughout the year and welcome all from the community. Events such as the "Christ Church Bake Off", our St Nicholas Event, the "Nearly New Sale" where we raise money for charity, and our "International Food Festival" where we enjoy foods shared by our diverse congregation. Details of these events can be found on our home page, or please contact Mtr Ariadne.
