Lot #    1          Piri Hill: Voucher and wine    £30     

A voucher for dinner for two and a bottle of wine thrown in for good measure at our very own piri piri restaurant on the hill, specialising in a wide variety of dishes incorporating the delicious chili sauce. Boppin' Bunnies hold musical classes for under-5s, run by professional musicians. Playing live music on a range of instruments, these classes offer a lively interactive experience so that parents, carers, children and younger siblings can make music together – heaps of fun and fantastic for a child’s early development! A 1-hour tennis lesson with Phil Layfield, Head Coach at Shooters Hill Tennis Club.  Phil is an LTA-qualified and licensed Level 3 coach who has been running the coaching programme at the club since 2007; he was named Kent Coach of the Year 2009 and Aegon Coach of the Month for April 2014. A trained first aider who is DBS-checked, Phil is in charge of developing the junior and adult players, from beginner to team player, and establishes links with local schools.

Lingotots is a UK company that teaches languages to children of all ages. Our local class has offered a set of three sessions.              

 

Lot #    16        Postnatal Pilates Session 1:1 (1 hour)           

A one-to-one Pilates session specially designed for women following labour. Postnatal Pilates is great for strengthening core and pelvic floor muscles following pregnancy and labour. This class will be run by Sarah Atherton, a local physiotherapist and Pilates instructor.       Women need to be at least 8 weeks post pregnancy and have had their check up with their GP.    

     

Lot #    17        60-min massage         From £55        

Loosen up with a 60-minute massage session with a personal trainer. Sharon has been involved in sports all her life, including sprinting, tennis and currently rugby. She was awarded her diploma in personal training in 2008, which has led to a career in remedial and sports massage therapy, enabling her to keep her clients not only fit but injury- and pain-free.

Lot #    19        Potted flowers from the Shooters Hill 6th form College                  

The local sixth form college has again donated to the auction. Their special educational needs students are offering us up some very wonderful potted flowers, ideal to brighten up your home for the winter.                     

 

Lot #    20        Rugby ball signed by the Irish rugby team     Priceless         

In a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Olivia was present for the final squad training session ahead of an Ireland rugby team home game in November 2016. Attendees of the Captain's Run and signing were Jamie Heaslip, Cian Healy, Ultan Dillane – win a rugby ball signed by them and their team mates.

Lot #    28        Gordon (website-building through students)            Priceless

Web development or general IT support from students of Birbeck College of the University of London. Gordon is the Director of Work-based Learning at the Department of Computer Science at Birkbeck College. Says Gordon, "I have many IT students who are looking for (a) work experience in a real-world setting, in order to develop their portfolio, and (b) real-world projects for their final year project module. If you have a small business or belong to clubs, churches, etc., and you need some web development or general IT work doing, these students could do the work for you.  If you contact me with a project, I can circulate the information to the student body, and select a student based on suitability and merit, and then put them in contact with you."
